About

In the shapes, textures and materials of the spaces and objects that surround us, we find a silent power that helps nurture our capacity for independent thought and self-assertion. We are wholly convinced that design is a catalyst for emancipation.

Though the terms may not have been so defined at the time, the designers of the post-war rationalist movement pioneered this concept. By creating functional pieces, they played a role in enhancing the ease and quality of everyday life. Yet their pursuit of utility never came at the cost of aesthetics; on the contrary, form was held in equal esteem to function. They championed this humanist vision of the essential utility of beauty in daily life.

We strive to keep this spirit alive through exclusive reissues of pieces from iconic “Reconstruction”-era designers. Our philosophy is guided by a deep respect for the original designs, the use of noble raw materials, and a commitment to French craftsmanship. Each piece is handcrafted, individually numbered, and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
